And that's great. That's totally something I wanna see, but that stuff back home is real, Dipper. It's not a stupid event that we can laugh off afterwards. [except no one laughs off half these events, least of all her, but she does a fine job of pretending.] People might actually get hurt- or worse die- and they won't just come back in a few days.
[she grabs one of her pillows and hugs it to her chest.] I don't wanna face that yet.
I know. [she flops backwards onto the bed and rolls over on her side, still hugging the pillow.] I just don't wanna think about it right now. We've got so much going for us here in Wonderland. And I know you're super bummed out about being twelve forever, but besides that...
[SHE HAS A BOYFRIEND DIPPER. IT'S FINE. IT'S ALL FINE.]
Hey, speak for yourself. I'm in a perfectly normal relationship. [even if she does see his point, and she doesn't have to say as much. she just glances away and pulls her sweater over her knees.]
I was in one. But now she's gone and we never even kissed. [Dipper sighs, wrapping his arms around his legs. He glances over at Mabel, feeling a pang of guilt. He didn't want to make her feel bad. He knows how important staying positive is to her.]
[Mabel pulls her sweater over her head. sweater town is now.] I'm sorry, Dipper. As someone who has experienced many heartbreaks, I can tell you right now it sucks and the pain takes a lot of ice cream and reckless distractions to heal over.
[Oh, no. Sweater town. Dipper normally would try harder to get her out of it, but right now he wishes he had a sweater to bury himself in. It's hard to cheer her up when he feels so bad himself. He leans against her, resting his head against hers. It's the best he's got.]
Ice cream and reckless distractions, huh? I could go for both of those.

We can't avoid it forever. We're gonna go home someday.

[He can... put it in words she understands, at least.]
Except other 12 year olds and soon that's gonna be weird too.
